It’s too easy to say that I always knew what I wanted to do, or that I’ve worked hard all my life to be where I am today and to be able to offer you these services.
But, as sometimes happens in life, this wasn’t exactly the case…
Yes, I always felt deep in my heart that I wanted to create. I always wanted to draw, paint, write… But I haven’t always had the guts to do it.

Si esperas que me calle cuando no me gusta algo o no creo que sea lo adecuado para tu marca o el proyecto, busca a otra persona para el trabajo. Porque siempre haré todo lo posible para que encaje perfectamente, incluso si esto significa que tengo que quedarme despierta toda la noche o tengo que decirte a la cara que algo no está bien.

Spanish Philology
The real question is: Why would I have to choose?
I had a hard time deciding which path to take. I started studying languages… Then, I also started designing. I wanted to study one thing, I ended up working on another. And another, and again…
Until…
I realized that I don’t have to choose. I can do what I want.

Fashion Design
I can help others (something that is in my DNA being an Advocate personality (www.16personalities.com)).
I can create: write, design, paint, draw. Just name it.
I can express my love for languages: translation, proofreading, teaching…
And the best of all: I CAN COMBINE ALL THIS IN ONE.
2014
A first date with Malaga
I found myself, I know it sounds cliché, when I found Malaga. I started with the “Erasmus +” program and then the easiest decision I had ever made was to go back.
2015
Magic and costume in Drama School ESAD
When I graduated and returned to Malaga in 2015, I entered the job market doing an internship at the Drama School ESAD. An unforgettable experience not only because of the sweat and stress of the backstage costume changes in milliseconds, the torn hems that took seconds to fix. It was pure magic!

Master’s degree in English Studies and Multilingual and Intercultural Communication
Back to languages…
When I realized that I really liked languages in my first year at university, my first thought was “I hope I can learn the same things I’m learning about Spanish, but for English.” Studying philology opens your mind to an immense world of connections and even if you know a language perfectly, you don’t really know it, nor can you teach it, until you understand the complex structures that form in our heads when we speak one language or another.
2017
Dessy Vassileva Ltd. is born
Exactly 25 years after my father created his company, Dessy Vassileva Ltd. was founded on July 17, 2017. It is a small company that has not had many clients, but it has had a long and very productive relationship with the publishing house Vernon Press, with which I continue to work to this day.
I have had the fortune to translate two already published books for them, “Introduction to Computational Macroeconomics” and “The City of Children,” and to proofread hundreds of others.
2017 – 2018
Master’s degree in Teaching
Sometimes it is not easy to achieve your goals when your studies and experience have started in another country. Although we are in the European Union, not everything is as simple as taking a plane. In order to be able to practice my profession in Andalusia, I decided to do the Master in Teaching, which is necessary to teach and be taken seriously, although I had already studied most of the things in Sofia.
2018 – 2020
Futura Idiomas
It’s all about experience in the end, so it opened the doors for me to the academic world and I started working as an English and Spanish teacher at Futura Idiomas. Lots of children, groups, adults, lots of love and emotions, and the newfound love for preparing for the Cambridge exams.
In 2020, due to the unexpected situation we were living in, I had the opportunity to get involved in management, organization, marketing and design tasks. We set up the online school overnight (it wasn’t easy, since we didn’t even have the base and it didn’t take us just one day either) and I had to take care of email marketing, the design of all the creatives and strategy.
2019 – 2020
Specialization in Web Design and Development
I had already gone through fashion design, graphic design, so web design was left standing. I have been working with WordPress since 2015, so I decided that learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive, etc. could only help me. And what a world it has opened up for me! I love it!
2020 – 2022
#FANS Marketing
#FANS gave me a chance when no one else had, when everyone was afraid to open their shops and businesses, or to even think about hiring someone who isn’t waiting in line for the layoffs.
But here I am, working in a fully-fledged marketing agency with clients such as Centro Comercial Rosaleda, Área de Turismo de Málaga, ServiHonda, El Museo Andaluz de la Educación, HAPPYLáser and many more, performing tasks ranging from content creation and community manager, graphic design and web design, to SEO and SEM and Social Ads campaign management.
What I loved most, although it can be stressful at times, is that sometimes there are entire projects assigned to me, which has taught me how to cover all the needs of a brand or business.
2020 – 2021
Master’s degree in Marketing, Design and Advertising
I found FANS thanks to NETT Digital School, where I took this master’s degree that is as versatile and 360º as I am. I have met such wonderful and capable people there that I can’t believe it, but above all, I have found myself.
2022 –
Las Palmas here we come
So it was time to pack my suitcase, or 1000 suitcases, and look for the formula that would allow me to work for myself so that I could work for you.
And why not the Canary Islands? Actually, the destination was exactly that, destiny that called on the phone and in exactly two weeks we were already living the dream of many.
Although being self-employed is more of a nightmare than a dream, but… oh well… we are not going to spoil the perfect story. Much less draw the attention of the IRS…
Self-employed or not, I am here to offer my services
In the end, it all came together.
So that weird girl who was too colorful and different for her own people decided to try and help others feel proud of their message and have more impact, by creating their visual identity aligned with their brand.
Because everything I do is related, everything I do is art.
And combined, all these “different” passions translate into a powerful and purposeful brand!
